ADP passes the test for SHL
9 September 2009: SHL, the global leader in talent assessment solutions in the workplace, has chosen ADP to run the payroll of its 345 UK staff. The company, which is based in Thames Ditton in Surrey, will implement ADP freedom in the UK and hopes to eventually introduce the international service, ADP Streamline, across Europe.
The move follows a centralisation of SHL’s finance division and the aim is to standardise payroll processes, introduce best practice and increase efficiency across the business. ADP will deliver a managed service, removing the majority of the administration burden from the in house team.
SHL was impressed with ADP freedom’s functionality, particularly the online reporting, which is real time and can be run at any point during the month, and Employee Self Service (ESS), which allows employees to check their payslips online. It also liked the support network included with the service, which enables employees to call ADP if they have any questions or queries regarding their pay.
“ADP has a strong reputation and ADP freedom is an efficient and cost effective solution,” commented Martin Franks, Finance Director for Technology, Product & Infrastructure at SHL. “We also liked ADP’s approach and felt the team took the time to understand what we were looking for and find the right solution for us. The implementation has also been very smooth so far.”
Don McGuire, UK Managing Director, ADP, said: “SHL was looking to introduce best practice to its payroll and ADP freedom is the perfect solution. As an online service, it allows real time data capture and reporting, removing the need to re-key data and therefore increases accuracy. By implementing a managed service, ADP takes the administrative burden away from SHL, leaving its finance team to focus on their core activities.”
